The weekend is here…ALREADY! Don’t you just love a short work week? I know I do! I like them so much in fact, that I have worked only one full week since the end of July. Just ONE. I’m spoiled sometimes. But, the fun is now over and next week will mark the beginning of a streak of five day work weeks. I guess I’d better really enjoy this weekend!
Before I go, I thought I'd share the latest and greated from Sketchy Thursdays(yes, a day late again). Here is the sketch:
Here is my page, titled A Walk in the Park, which highlights photos from our trip to Omaha in July:
This is an all digi page, using papers and elements from Creativity by Crystal. I started the page by using a Jen Martikis digital template found at 2Ps and modified it to follow the sketch and to fit the third photo. I created this one while sitting in first class, sipping a martini on the way to Duluth. No kidding...it rocked! Airplanes, first class, cocktails and creativity…some of my favorite things in life! Haha :)
The prize for this week's challenge is even more stellar than usual. This week, the sketch is sponsored by four Etsy Shops (you heard that right, four sponsors)!! One lucky winner takes all, so be sure to play along.
Sadly, I have only three remaining Sketchy Thursdays pages to share with you *insert whimpering and foot stomping*. The current DT term ends at the end of the month, boohoo. But, I guess the good part is that I can now participate as a player and have the chance to win one of the awesome prizes!! For anyone interested in applying for the new Sketchy Thursdays DT, you still have until Saturday, September 11 to get your submissions in! Check out the post here. I’d highly recommend it!!
For this weeks Finspo, I thought I'd continue with the magazine theme I've carried throughout the week. However, instead of showing images of magazines and what not, I decided pull some tutorials from my bookmarks list and share them with you instead. Hopefully these projects will inspire you to get crafty and make green-friendly crafts with your old magazine stash!
The weekend is upon us! I’m looking forward to some relaxing, a little pool time, a World Cup party, scrapbooking with friends (meeting some new friends), and spending time with my man! Not too shabby of a weekend lineup, eh?
Also, check out my good friend Joanna's Cookie Contest! All you have to do to enter is dream up a yummy cookie combo for a chance to win!
In place of Finspo this week, here a few of my favorite photos from this past week/weekend (please don't mind the unedited shots!):
Next week, look for a full line up of posts here at GHU! Yup, five days of blog posts! My poor little blog is feeling neglected, so I’ve decided to give it some much deserved attention. Happy weekend :)
Looking back through my blog posts, it seems like it's been quite a while since i've put up a Finspo post. Since April to be exact. It's amazing how time flies by. Here is some long overdue eye-candy to inspire you for the weekend!
My sister, niece and nephew all arrived yesterday as planned so our weekend will be filled with a Diamondbacks baseball game, a pool party and barbeque, and probably even more swimming and fun times. I can't wait!! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend :)
I've been wanting to adopt a rescue bunny for almost a year now and I'm secretly hoping this cute post will help me FINALLY win Nate over...heehee! I hope everyone has a wonderful Easter weekend! See you on Monday with some new projects :)
And lastly, I thought I'd share a personal love note I recently received.
A few weeks back I was quite sick and missed a few days of work. On the first day, Nate kissed me goodbye before he left for the office and then sent me a sweet text message to wake up to later in the morning. Much later in the day, I managed to climb out of bed and walk into our studio. Lying on my computer was this note. The sheep is an inside joke of ours, but, for me, it made the note all the more special. Nate is a little embarrassed at the sheep drawing (that looks more like a bear) and wanted to recreate the note before I posted it. Considering it was drawn on a scrap of paper, with a random smashed-up Sharpie he found on my desk at 6:45 in the morning, I think it's nothing more than perfect and I'll keep it forever. Simple and sweet :)
