I went back to my traditional scrapbooking roots and whipped up a few paper layouts. It was so fun to play with paper and glue on a scale larger than Project Life pockets!
I used part of my Studio Calico Roller Rink kit to create two layouts (the other half was used for my Project Life October). Both of the layouts are about my Grandma, Nanny, who I was lucky enough to see in August and in September!
NANNYBRATION | This layout documents the "Nannybration", Nan's 80th birthday celebration, which was quite a bash! There were literally hundreds of family members and friends there to honor her and to celebrate with good food and drinks. It was great to see so many of my immediate family members, who I usually don't get to see all in one place and many extended family members and family friends. It was a wonderful celebration for a wonderful lady :)
HANGING WITH NANNY | Nanny flew to Tucson to celebrate her sister-in-law Sylvia's 95th birthday. Nate and I drove down to visit Nanny and to celebrate Aunt Sylvia's birthday with my extended family. It was a treat to see so many relatives I hadn't seen in years and to see my grandma two months in a row!
Creating these layouts made me forget how much I love making paper layouts. While I'll probably never make them to the extent I used to, it's fun to add them back into the mix, along with Project Life and digital scrapping :)
